Disable a Startup Program
🚫 Disable a Startup Program
Stopping unnecessary programs from launching at startup can speed up your boot time and reduce background load. Here's how to do it:
🔵 On Windows:
Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
Click on the Startup tab at the top. (If you don’t see tabs, click More details first.)
You’ll see a list of programs that launch on startup, along with their impact.
Right-click on a program you don’t want to launch at startup and choose Disable.
🟣 On macOS:
Click the Apple  menu and go to System Settings (or System Preferences in older macOS).
Select General → then click Login Items.
You’ll see a list of apps that open when you log in.
Select the app you want to disable and click the minus (–) button below the list.
✅ Done! Your computer will now start up faster without those extra programs slowing it down.
